iGEM wins silver at 2025 Grand Jamboree

Congratulations to the Alma College iGEM Team on their silver medal at the 2025 Grand Jamboree!

We are proud to announce that the Alma College iGEM team has earned a silver medal at the 2025 iGEM Grand Jamboree, held in Paris, France, this past week, on October 28th–31st. Competing against more than 400 teams, Alma’s iGEM team presented their project titled “Com-bat-ting White Nose Syndrome”, which focuses on combating the devastating effects of White-Nose Syndrome in North American bat populations, to an international panel of judges.

This achievement marks another successful year for the team and an improvement upon their bronze medal performance in 2024. Their success reflects months of dedicated work, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a commitment to scientific endeavors. Moving forward, the team will continue developing their project, and they look forward to engaging the community through upcoming campus events and outreach initiatives. Their goal is to build on this momentum and further advance their research in the coming year.
