Res Publica Group is a Chicago-based, full-service strategic communications firm providing public affairs, media relations, corporate communications, marketing, creative services and digital marketing expertise. We are looking for applicants to join our team of creative thinkers, strategists and doers for a six-month internship starting in early January 2026 (start date flexible).
Res Publica Group interns immerse themselves in current events, media and client projects that span the healthcare, transportation, education and hospitality industries. We are looking for a full-time web design & development intern to serve as a valued member of our team while gaining real-world agency experience. The internship will include working with an experienced creative team on a variety of projects, including designing, developing and supporting websites, microsites and landing pages for clients in a variety of different fields.
Desired capabilities in candidates for this paid internship include:
- Support our team in the design, development, and maintenance of client and internal websites using WordPress and other CMS platforms
- Assist with building responsive, accessible web pages based on concepts, mockups and brand guidelines
- Assist in content updates, site QA, and cross-browser/device testing
- A creative portfolio showcasing fresh, innovative thinking
- Efficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- A strong eye for design, typography and layout composition
- Being comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- A personable, proactive and professional demeanor
- Someone who stays current with UI/UX design patterns, social, design and digital trends
This paid internship would run from early January 2026 through early July 2026, Monday through Friday. Start and end dates can be flexible. Our team works best in a collaborative environment; therefore, this opportunity is in-person.
Interns will work alongside all members of our team, including company leadership. In this capacity, interns can also expect to learn about:
- Client service
- Project management
- Various industries, audiences and mediums
- Strategic planning in the fields of communications and community outreach
Interns can expect to have regular contact with the internship coordinator to discuss goal progression and desired projects and experiences.
